MSNBC’s Cokie Roberts had an opportunity to interview presidential frontrunner Donald Trump recently, but rather than ask about issues, Roberts blamed Trump for school bullying.
Cokie asked the real estate mogul, “there’ve been incidents of white children pointing to their darker-skinned classmates, and saying, ‘you’ll be deported when Donald Trump is president’ . . . are you proud of that?”
The ridiculous question falls in line with the aggressive line of questions that started with Megyn Kelly during the first GOP debate.
Robert’s interview with Trump is going viral on Facebook today with pointed reaction toward the anchor.
John Daliani wrote, “What kind of a stupid, asinine question is that? Put that old coot Cokie Roberts out to pasture.”
Another person, Terry Finco posted, “Cokie Roberts was born with a silver spoon [and is] seeing her cocktail parties go down the tubes.”
Roberts, a long time establishment reporter, once implied that a Catholic nun from New Mexico, Sister Dianna Ortiz, was lying about her abduction, rape and torture by a government-backed group in Guatemala.
More recently, Roberts has been criticized for her biased support fro the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) which Donald Trump strongly opposes.
