The DNC is trying to stop a lawsuit that blames the DNC for taking donations from fans of Bernie Sanders despite trying end his campaign.
Guess who the DNC are blaming though? It isn’t Debbie Wasserman-Schultz.
The DNC is trying to blame the people that donated to the DNC for Bernie for knowing that the Democratic Party was in favor of Hillary and not Bernie.
Lawyers for the DNC prove their point by using the Facebook pages of the donors.
Rick Washik signed a petition to remove Wasserman Schultz, so he obviously knew the DNC was conspiring against Hillary.
Rosalie Consiglio and Catherine Cyko had posts turned in as evidence. They shared an article that questioned the bias of the DNC, but they donated anyway.
Almost all of the evidence that the DNC has filed consists of a few Facebook posts from donors. Despite no real ammo, the lawyers for the DNC want the lawsuit thrown out.
“This sample demonstrates that, aside from not being actionable, Plaintiffs’ theory that donors relied upon Defendants’ statements about neutrality to make donations they would not have otherwise made is not plausible.”
The proof has been provided that the DNC did plan to steamroll Bernie and give Hillary the nomination, but the DNC lawyers blame the donors.
Something is happening to the Democratic Party and it is getting ugly. The party is turning on a large group of supporters and donors.
The effects of this betrayal will play out over the next few years, but some people have lost all trust in the DNC. We’ll have to see if they are legally culpable, but despite the outcome of the case, the damage has been done to the DNC.
