Parents of 7th graders at Propel Charter School in Hazelwood, Pennsylvania, are livid–after a science teacher delivered a raunchy sex ed class.

A science teacher at Propel, whose name hasn’t been released, was responsible for giving a lesson on sex education. He used the class as an opportunity to graphically discuss oral sex.

One mom, who didn’t want to release her name, complained that the teacher told her thirteen-year-old daughter to “look up” what oral sex was, “but not on a school computer because they would be able to track it.”

The mom added, “So, a little boy looked it up on his phone, and [my daughter] saw images and she was traumatized.”

“Now I gotta explain things to my child that she may or may not be ready for. But, guess what? She had to find out about it today,” added John Mitchell, another parent of a kid at Propel.

“There is no reason for that conversation in a school setting. None,” he added.

Propel Schools is currently investigating the situation.

“To the best of my understanding, in this situation, parents raised some new concerns today with the principal,” said Propel Charter Schools spokeswoman Sonya Toler. “So, at this point the principal is starting an investigation to determine the truth in the allegations.”
