If you watched NBC Nightly News on their report on the recent clashes between ANTIFA and the Proud Boys, it would be easy to point the finger at the Republicans and blame them for the recent violence, but is that the truth?
Sunday night, NBC did a story on the recent violence in New York and Portland and framed the discussion to blame “far-right activists” and describes ANTIFA as “loosely affiliated.”
NBC then featured a quote from New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, saying, “I hold the president responsible.”
Watch the clip and decide whom NBC is framing as the bad guys.
That is what NBC says is happening, but what about people on the ground? What is the real story?
If you listen to the Young Turks you would think that the far-right Proud Boys are the biggest threat to America since the cold war.
Founder of the Proud Boys, Gavin McInnes went on Newsmax TV to discuss what really happened in New York. He describes a different scene where Antifa had vandalized a venue and tormented the Proud Boys for three days before any incident happened. Then the fight broke out after two ANTIFA members attacked a Proud Boy.
See Gavin’s view of the story here.
What do you think? Is the media trying to protect ANTIFA and attack the Proud Boys or is the media treating both groups fairly?
