A woman collapsed at during President Trump’s campaign stop in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on the eve of the midterm elections… and both President Trump and the crowd’s responses were heartwarming.
In the middle of Trump’s speech in a packed, hot arena, a woman fainted.
Trump immediately stopped his speech to ask, “Is there a doctor in the house?”
Upon seeing that the woman was being attended to by medical professionals, Trump decided to temporary stop the rally until he knew she was okay–telling the woman, “Take your time. Take your time. We have plenty of time, right? Don’t rush. That is one of our great people.”
As the crowd stood silently, Trump told them: “Say a little prayer. That is good. Say a little prayer.”
Soon after, the crowd began singing the Christian hymn, “Amazing Grace,” and continued to sing as the woman was helped from the arena.
“I want to just thank everybody,” Trump said, clearly touched by the crowd’s song. “That was beautiful. At the end was beautiful. ‘Amazing Grace.’ That was beautiful. Hopefully, she will be ok.”
Eight minutes after the woman collapsed, Trump cotninued the rally.
