Trump To Announce “Corrupt Media Awards” Next Week

"You are fake news!"

The mainstream media has been put on alert: President Trump plans to announce his picks for the “Most Dishonest and Corrupt Media Awards of the Year” on Monday, January 8.

In a tweet on Tuesday night, Trump wrote: “I will be announcing THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR on Monday at 5:00 o’clock. Subjects will cover Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media. Stay tuned!”

It’s unclear how Trump plans to dish out the awards—but this isn’t the first time he’s threatened to expose the mainstream media’s rampant, anti-conservative bias by giving them fake news awards.

Back in November, Trump tweeted: “We should have a contest as to which of the Networks, plus CNN and not including Fox, is the most dishonest, corrupt and/or distorted in its political coverage of your favorite President (me). They are all bad. Winner to receive the FAKE NEWS TROPHY!

Trump has a long history of slamming the mainstream media as “fake news”—and, while his attacks have been controversial, the media has bungled (and been forced to retract) a surprisingly large number of major stories that portray Trump and his associates in a negative light.
