A new poll shows that a huge majority of veterans and active U.S. troops support President Donald Trump’s key military policies.
In a poll conducted by the Smithsonian, the Department of Defense’s news publication Stars and Stripes, and George Mason University, more than 1,000 veterans and active-duty troops were survey.
Among those, 65 percent support President Trump’s decision to send the military to the U.S.-Mexico border to deal with the arrival of migrants from Central America.
More than 80 percent of troops and veterans also agree with Trump’s claims that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have “been going on too long.” The poll was conducted before Trump’s controversial decision to take U.S. forces out of neighboring Syria.
The poll also showed that most troops and veterans also back Trump on his policy to ban transgender troops from the military. Just 39 percent disagree with the President and support having transgender service members.
President Trump has repeatedly been criticized by the mainstream media and the far-left… but it looks like he can still count on overwhelming support from U.S. troops.
