Pentagon Says Modern Sexism Rooted in the Bible

Pentagon

It used to be the mission of our nation’s military to defend the country and its interests overseas by breaking things and killing the enemy – goals left out of recently discovered Pentagon training courses to increase the “sensitivity” of military personnel on issues that include “sexism”, “racism” and other isms that have nothing to do with victory on the battlefield.

To make matters worse, these Pentagon approved training courses blame an issue like sexism in the United States military on subversive documents that include the Bible, U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence – documents that advocates say form the foundation of “modern sexism” in today’s military.

The Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI), a Department of Defense joint services school based in Florida, offers these training courses to mitigate the “historical influences that allow sexism to continue” reports Jessica Chasmar for The Daily Caller.

According to course materials:

“Quotes from the Bible can be misinterpreted as having a sexist influence when brought out of context and not fully understood…” “In 1776, ‘We the people…’ only included white men: Slaves and women were not included until later in history.”

The course also cites the Declaration of Independence as a historical cause of sexism for referring to only “all men” being created equal.

“The content of the lesson is provided to generate academic discussion concerning how these historical documents have been included in discussions about the topic of sexism,” Lt. Cmdr. Nate Christensen, a Pentagon spokesman, told The Daily Caller.

A check of the DEOMI website showed that teaching materials for the “Sexism” course as well as courses on “Prejudice & Discrimination” and “Racism” had been taken down following a request for comment by The Daily Caller.

In response to a question as to why the course materials were removed from the website, Cmdr. Christensen explained that the DEOMI’s:

“…online materials are periodically pulled to review to ensure accuracy and relevance. The Racism, Sexism and Prejudice & Discrimination are currently undergoing that review process.”

Some suspect that these leftist progressive courses imposing liberal dogma on military members have been instituted because military members can be ordered to participate. Speaking to this point, Cmdr. Christensen adds:

“While there is no DoD Policy that requires persons to take these online courses”…
”2,075 Department of Defense personnel have taken the “Sexism” course since 2011.”

While it is impossible to prove, some suspect that the absence of “voluntary” politically correct sensitivity training from ones military record might be a factor in military promotions and advancement – so take the course because it is better to be safe than sorry.
