Like with Maine, Nevada, home to gambling and brothels, has traditionally had a open stance toward firearms. Thanks to the efforts by billionaire former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, gun owners’ abilities in the state to sell and transfer their collections will be strictly limited.
The measure, which will appear on the November ballot, will request voters to choose if they want to prohibit private sales and transfers of guns. If the measure passes, if you want to sell your .22 plinker to your neighbor, and live in Nevada . . . get ready to pay up. All transfers will have to go through gun stores who will be authorized to charge a “reasonable fee” for their services. |
