Kellyanne Conway, White House counselor, excoriated CNN’s Chris Cuomo in a prime time interview on the cable TV network for using the catastrophic flooding in Texas from Hurricane Harvey as an excuse to rant about “global warming.”
“Chris we’re trying to help the people whose lives are literally under water and you want to have a conversation about climate change,” Conway said responding to Cuomo’s question regarding the administration’s efforts to address climate change issues following the natural disaster.
“I mean, that is, I’m not going to engage in that right now because I work for a president and a vice president and a country that is very focused on helping the millions of affected Texans, and, god forbid, Louisianans if it ends up.”
Cuomo then tried to take another route; attempting to press Conway on how the administration plans on reducing the number of super storms.
“You’re going to play climatologist tonight?” Conway shot back.
“Here’s the deal,” Conway continued. “You play amateur climatologist tonight and I will play professional helper to those in need, and continue in my job here, as counselor to the president, to help listen to the Cabinet members, the president, the vice president, FEMA, DHS and others, General Kelly, who could not be a better chief of staff equipped for a matter like Harvey since he was at DHS and is accustomed to large-scale operations as such.”
CNN’s Cuomo – like most democrats – is fetishistically focused on the idea of “global warming,” and fixate on it whenever the opportunity arises. The recent actions of the Trump administration to roll back job killing EPA regulations, and to demand scientific evidence from climate alarmists has clearly bothered Cuomo deeply.
Hurricane Harvey first hit last week as a Category 4 storm. According to the latest report by The New York Times, it has claimed the lives of at least 38 people.
Other liberal outlets have also tried desperately to change the focus from the Texan victims, from focusing on climate alarmism, to criticizing the First Lady’s footwear.
However, the mainstream media’s despicable behavior can be easily explained. Why would CNN want to devote time to such a story that may elicit empathy and pity over victims, if those victims are republicans or Trump supporters?
Expressing what democrats like Cuomo truly believe, a liberal professor at the University of Tampa tweeted that Hurricane Harvey was “instant karma” for Texans because they voted for Trump.
