ISIS has released a furry of enemy propaganda that points to a series of sniper and package bomb attacks aimed at America’s most populated city.
Starting in November, messages and propaganda have been released by an ISIS-supporting media group that points to a variety of attacks on New York City starting on January first.
According to reports, include images of an Islamist extremist with a bloody knife standing over the crowd at the 2016 Berlin Christmas attack with the words “date of retribution” on the poster. The date on the poster refers to New Years Day.
Another has city-scape that is burnt out and destroyed with the words, “Soon, Allah willing, the disbelievers will see the very thing they feared: 1/1/2019.”
One propaganda poster uses the city of New York as the background with blood all over the graphic image and the date 1/1/2019. The text on the threat says, “”And hit them with the explosive belts and vehicle bomb, and shock them with adhesive explosives and packages, and harvest them with silencers and snipers, horrify and terrify them with the intrusions.”
The threats all seem to be pointing to a New Year’s Day attack. According to News 12 in Brooklyn, the NYPD say there is no credible threat of the attack, despite the latest video where ISIS mentions Times Square. The video shows a terrorist putting on an explosive vest and hiding it under clothes. The next image is of a crowded Manhattan street, symbolizing the target of the terrorist group.
A spokesperson for the NYPD said, “The video reaffirms the message that New York City remains a top terrorist target. While there is no current or specific threat to the city at this time, we will remain at a heightened state of vigilance and will continue to work with the FBI, the Joint Terrorism Task Force and the entire intelligence community to keep the City of New York safe.”
