Hateathon: Liberals Violating Law To Hate Trump?

Trump

What do Jane Fonda, Harry Belafonte and Noam Chomsky have in common?

A lot actually . . .

To add to their commonalities, the three have joined the “Stop Hate Dump Trump” coalition.

The campaign is made up of “a diverse coalition cutting across race, gender, religion, sexual orientation and party affiliation” to “give voice to Americans calling out Donald Trump for his hate speech, misogyny, Islamaphobia and racism.”

Organizer and playwright Eve Ensler told the press, “Trump is a frontrunner candidate who promises to ‘build a wall” on our borders, humiliates and denigrates Muslims, women, immigrants, racial minorities as part of his ‘stump speech,’ allows protesters to be beaten at his rallies and in fact encourages hostility toward anyone who disagrees with him.”

That’s all fine and good, but the organization that is campaigning against a federal candidate for office, even through an independent expenditure, must report their activity to the Federal Election Commission.

No organization with the keywords, “dump trump” has filed as of this writing.

The group, which has created a Web site, Stophatedumptrump.com, has collected over 7,000 signatures to support their cause.

While the group is clearly spending money through the development of their site along with the hosting and data services of a company called Nation Builder, they may be cleverly skirting the requirements.

Despite the group calling presidential frontrunner Donald Trump every hateful name in the book, they do not expressly call for Americans to vote against him.

If you want to put your name alongside Fonda, Chomsky and Belafonte’s, here’s your chance:
