Harlem Hustle: Al Sharpton Plays Kingmaker For Socialist Sanders

Al Sharpton

Al Sharpton thinks highly of himself these days. The race crusader sat down for breakfast in Harlem with presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

Sanders, a self-professed socialist, is of course aiming for the black vote and Sharpton appears to be happy to play the role of kingmaker.

The slim Sharpton posed for photos with Sanders to post to Twitter:

Note that the men posed directly in front of a photo of Barack Obama chowing down on ribs with a hefty version of Al . . . and of course Sharpton had to point it out in his tweet.

Sharpton’s days of representing the black vote have been on the decline since the 1980’s when the rotund Rev took a literal beat down at the hands of Roy Innis.

And that’s literal.

Innis, a black leader of conservative values appeared on the Morton Downey Show with Sharpton. Those who were around and aware of Downey’s show know that it was hands down the most entertaining political and cultural show in history – it makes Meet the Press look like a sleep study.

The appearance of Innis and Sharpton in the 80’s represents the decline of Sharpton’s influence over the minds of intelligent black voters.

Watch the video here. If you want to skip to the fun stuff, go to the 6:40 mark and watch Innis put Sharpton in his place:
