Partisan leftist Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 85, has been rushed to the hospital.
According to a statement issued by the Supreme Court on Thursday morning, Ginsburg fell in her office at the court and fractured three ribs.
After falling, “she went home, but after experiencing discomfort overnight, went to George Washington University Hospital early this morning,” the statement said. “Tests showed that she fractured three ribs on her left side and she was admitted for observation and treatment.”
Ginsburg is the oldest member of the U.S. Supreme Court, and has had a number of health scares.
If Ginsburg were to die in office when President Trump is in office, especially with a Republican Senate, she would likely be replaced by a conservative. Adding another conservative to the bench, while removing one of the most prominent liberals, would give conservatives a 6-3 majority—enough to make seismic changes for decades to come.
