President Trump and CNN are at war. The cable news network has launched a all out war of words with the president after Trump mocked famed Watergate journalist, Carl Bernstein for co-writing a story that Trump says is false but CNN is standing behind.
Make no mistake, Mr. President, CNN does not lie. We report the news. And we report when people in power tell lies. CNN stands by our reporting and our reporters. There may be many fools in this story but @carlbernstein is not one of them.

Bernstein co-wrote a report published by CNN that has been disputed by many, but claims that Trump knew in advance about the Trump Tower Russian meeting. According to Trump, the information is not true.
Trump took to Twitter to attack CNN in a series of tweets.

I just cannot state strongly enough how totally dishonest much of the Media is. Truth doesn’t matter to them, they only have their hatred & agenda. This includes fake books, which come out about me all the time, always anonymous sources, and are pure fiction. Enemy of the People!

Carl Bernstein is the author of “A Woman In Charge,” a book about Hillary Clinton, and one of the journalists credited for bringing down Republican Richard Nixon. The left-leaning reporter fired back after Trump took shots at Bernstein.

CNN has really painted themselves into a corner. If the report turns out to be false, then they will lose an incredible amount of credibility and could tarnish the overall reputation of Carl Bernstein.
If the report is true, then Trump has a lot more problems than lying to CNN on Twitter.
Never have we seen a sitting president attack a news agency like we are seeing with CNN. We’ve also never seen a news agency spend so much time attacking a president. We are truly in a unique time.
