Megyn Kelly made a mistake and is now apologizing on her NBC show about comments she made about Halloween costumes and supporting the idea of kids dressing up as black people with face paint.
The former Fox News star has gained a lot of criticism for her comments and was a highlight on the national news. See the exchange in this clip on CNN and Don Lemmon’s overly dramatic response.
She started her show on Wednesday with a heartfelt apology.
“I want to begin with two words, I’m sorry..The country feels so divided and I have no wish to add to that pain and offense. I believe this is a time for more understanding, more love, more sensitivity and honor..Thank you for listening and for helping me listen too.” Megyn Kelly pic.twitter.com/6hHrvZLNvK

NBC Colleague, Al Roker, spoke to the controversy during the Today show. Roker said, “The fact is, while she apologized to the staff, she owes a bigger apology to folks of color around the country because this is our history, going back to the 1830s.”
The apology seemed like see meant it, but the comments could have a much larger backlash in the following days, as some are not happy with the apology. People Like Rosie O’Donnell are not letting this go.

Megyn should have known about defending blackface, there is no real argument there. The real question is, how far will the backlash go? Let us know in the comments below.
