ISIS isn’t the terrorist group that it was just a few years ago, but that isn’t stopping the Islamist extremists from continuing to kill and regain control of Syria.
At one point, ISIS nearly had control of Syria and waged their Jihadist war on the people of Syria, but Wednesday, President Trump declared “victory”.
The president said that the United States has defeated ISIS and is now planning to remove “the troops out of Syria as quickly as possible.”
We have defeated ISIS in Syria, my only reason for being there during the Trump Presidency.

Despite the president’s claim, ISIS has executed almost 700 prisoners in the last two months according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The terrorist group remains a vicious organization, but their strength and numbers have dwindled since U.S. troops arrived in Syria back in 2014.
Some in Trump’s own party disagree with the president. Lindsey Graham says that pulling out of Syria could be an ”Obama-like mistake.”
With all due respect, ISIS is not defeated in Syria, Iraq, and after just returning from visiting there — certainly not Afghanistan.

Hopefully Trump is right and this doesn’t turn out to be a George Bush “mission accomplished” moment.
