Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced he would retire at the end of July… setting up the fight to replace him.

On Wednesday, President Trump announced that he would select his next Justice from a list of 25 names, including:

— Britt Grant of Georgia, Supreme Court of Georgia

— Raymond Gruender of Missouri, 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals

— Thomas Hardiman of Pennsylvania, 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals

With Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell saying that he wants to fill the seat before the mid-term elections in November, Trump will be making his decision sooner rather than later… but until he makes the announcement, it’s anyone’s guess.
