Trump Administration Steps Into 2018 With Major Legislative Victories

Donald Trump
Only one year later, and he already has the Establishment under control!

White House believed in bringing a strong end to 2017 and delivered it by passing the $1.5 trillion tax bill, putting Donald Trump in a strong positive position to start his second year as the President.

The passing of the Tax Cuts and Job Act had helped with the criticism faced by the GOP for the failure to repeal ObamaCare and helped Trump and the congressional allies to set aside their differences and join together to celebrate their success at the year end.

The Trump administration is of the point that the tax bill, which ended the entire mandate for the individuals who buy the insurance as per the Affordable Care Act. It had opened up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for drilling of Oil and Natural Gas had made sure that the first year of Presidency for Trump ended with a very positive note.

“At the end of the year, you see the president achieving things and getting results,” said a White House official. “We had, basically, a hat trick of accomplishments coming in all at once in the tax bill.”

Meanwhile, also writing the confirmation of the Supreme Court Justice, Neil Gorsuch to the list of his achievements this year along with several other judges in the federal courts and the roll back of the ObamaCare laws and regulations.

Also, the White House was able to put forward a version of the travel ban with all the right tweaking and it implies the new rules that fulfill another one of the Trump’s promises for carrying out the “extreme vetting” of immigrants and all the travels who enter the sovereign land of the U.S.A.

“It’s always a lot of fun when you win,” Trump said earlier this week, while surrounded by the GOP lawmakers after the tax bill’s passage.

During his presidential campaign for the elections for White House in 2016, Trump had promised his fellow Americans that they would be getting “so sick and tired of winning” during his era of the presidency.

Despite the good end of the first year as the President, the winning streak might prove to be very difficult to be maintained as the Trump enters the New Year with his approval ratings at a low of 30 only.

The government is facing a shut down as the lawmakers from Senate and House, struggling to keep the government up, and running away from the shutdown.

But the Trump advisers are very confident on the President’s political standings and are positive that the president’s standings would be improving as the Americans would experience increased after tax incomes as a result of the latest Tax Reforms.

“As the economy gets better and as the president has more months in office… he can take direct credit for it, and I think he is going to get direct credit,” the official said.

But some Republicans do not share that view and are warning the White House that Trump’s political problems will not fix themselves.

“As long as their primary focus every day is about the economy, it will give them the power to do whatever they want to do,” said former Trump campaign adviser Barry Bennett. “If they don’t do that, it will be very difficult to do anything else.”

The President and his administration is positive for the New Year, and look forward to keeping their ultimate promise to the people of “making America great again!”
