Hillary Clinton, the Democratic front-runner for president, has said many times that she is a woman and nobody will be able to take care of women like she will, but the proof is in the pudding.
All politicians talk a good game and we all agree that Hillary is a woman. But will she treat women better than they have been treated? Will Hillary end the wage gap like she has promised?
Do we have any reason to believe she won’t be good to women? Yes! Her foundation pays women less than their counterparts.
Hillary, Bill and their daughter Chelsea have the Clinton Foundation, which takes in millions and millions of dollars in donations and works on projects around the world. Here is what the Clinton Foundation does according to their website.
“The Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation builds partnerships between businesses, NGOs, governments, and individuals everywhere to work faster, better, and leaner; to find solutions that last; and to transform lives and communities from what they are today to what they can be tomorrow.”
What they don’t tell you is that the Clinton Foundation pays female executives 38% less than the comparable male counterparts.
In the corporate offices of Little Rock, Arkansas, almost three times as many men are executives than women.
So Hillary may talk about equality but she doesn’t practice it. You may also remember that she wants to raise the minimum wage to $12 but she doesn’t pay a lot of her interns and staffers anything for her campaign.
It’s clear that the in only organization that Hillary could “walk her talk” and ensure gender pay equality is her foundation, which is below the national average in pay for women. On average nationally, women get paid 79% of what men get paid, but if you work at the Clinton foundation you will be paid just 62% of what your male peers do.
This is just another example of the lies and hypocrisy of Hillary Clinton and why the American people don’t feel like they can trust her, or any politician.
