More Democrats Change, The More They Stay The Same

Democratic Leadership
Meet the new boss.... Same as the old boss!

If there was one resounding message he American voters have sent over the last two years, it is that they want something new.

In 2016 the American people elected Donald Trump, despite zero political experience, the citizens wanted to try a billionaire businessman as president.

In 2018, the vote leaned left, but still showed that the American people are looking for something different. The people voted for a record number of women and minority candidates.

To any onlooker, it is clear that America is looking try something new, because what we’ve been doing for the past decade or two isn’t working too well. How does the Democratic Party respond?

They party nominates Nancy Pelosi to be the next Speaker of the House. Nancy Pelosi is nothing new. In 2007 she was the first female Speaker, but that was 11 years ago. Now the 78-year-old politician is showing visible signs of aging and this is still whom the Democrats want to lead their Party back against Trump.

Pelosi had trouble during her speech, slurring words and making common mistakes, but her speech after winning the nomination was no different.

The final vote for Speaker is set for January, but it doesn’t look like Democrats have the ability to stop Pelosi, nor do they have the desire.

With Americans begging for something new, the Democratic Party gives the people something that is on the older side, and anything but new. It doesn’t seem like the left is listening to the people and keep pushing the same tired candidates to lead them. What’s next Democrats? Is Hillary going to be your nominee?
