Is Trump More Popular Than Obama?

Donald Trump
"Who's that Pokemon!?!"

President Trump is more popular at this point in his presidency than Barack Obama was, according to the latest Rasmussen daily tracking poll.

The latest poll, which came out on February 7, 2018, puts Trump’s approval rate at 48%, with 51% disapproving.

Back on February 7, 2010, as Obama entered his second year in the White House, Rasmussen pegged his approval rate at 4 points lower. Just 44% of voters approved of Obama, while 56% disapproved.

Trump’s approval rating has been rising fast over the past two months. On December 15, shortly after the Republican-backed tax reform bill had passed, Rasmussen had Trump at just 40% approval, some of the lowest numbers of his presidency.

But now, with the economy booming and the tax reform being seen as a positive by increasingly more Americans, it’s clear that Trump is still winning over the American people—which should strike fear into the hearts of Democrats nationwide.
