Nebraska GOP Senator Ben Sasse was the first sitting politician to come out and say, “Anybody but Trump!”

Sasse became the leader of the #NeverTrump movement.

The junior member of the Senate was elected in 2014 after a very quick and odd rise through the Establishment ranks.

Now 44, the Senator spent most of his adult life in school, piling on degrees from Harvard, Yale and St. John’s.

From there, the Nebraskan went from an associate for the Boston Consulting Group to executive director for the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals.

Years later, Sasse moved on to D.C. as the chief of staff for the Department of Justice Office of Legal Policy (a law degree is one of the degrees that Sasse did not get).

Within a year, the young mover started consulting with the Department of Homeland Security; then a year later was nominated by George W. Bush as the Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services.

What happened after that? Two years later, in 2009, Sasse began managing private equity clients on health care investments.

Sasse is the perfect picture of the Establishment. He pretends to be a corn-fed Nebraskan while hiding his Ivy League background and rapid rise to power thanks to political connections.

Sasse was never an expert on issues related to homeland security, healthcare or legal policy . . . but was easily given positions overseeing such matters, only to cash out and use his gains to secure a seat in the United States Senate.

Of course a man like Sasse would never want to see Donald Trump as president because he would actually have to work for a living rather than relying on a “good old boy” network for his next paying gig.

There’s a reason why his initials are B.S.

#NeverTrump? No, #EndTheEstablishment
