Trump Lawyer Paid Adult Star Affair Hush Money

Hush Money
"Don't go telling people, now"

Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s long-time Personal Attorney and advisor, allegedly paid adult-film star Stormy Daniels $130,000 to keep an affair under wraps. The sum

However, even after months of idle speculation, there have been no witnesses or reports that could prove the alleged incident actually took place. Stormy Daniels, herself, denied having an affair with Donald Trump back in 2006.

Michael Cohen, who previously served as Attorney for the Trump Organization, addressed the controversy, admitting that money changed hands, “Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed me for the payment, either directly or indirectly,” Cohen told the Times in a statement, referring to Stephanie Clifford, who goes by the stage name Stormy Daniels.

“The payment to Ms. Clifford was lawful, and was not a campaign contribution or a campaign expenditure by anyone.” Michael Cohen denied discussed the payment or its details further and refrained from commenting on whether Trump knew about the transaction.

“The complaint alleges that I somehow violated campaign finance laws by facilitating an excess, in-kind contribution,” Mr. Cohen said in his statement. “The allegations in the complaint are factually unsupported and without legal merit, and my counsel has submitted a response to the FEC.”

According to initial reports, Stormy Daniels met President Donald Trump in a golf even in 2006, a year after President Donald Trump got married to Melania. The initial report from Wall Street Journal said that Cohen had arranged to pay Daniels a total of $130,000 as a non-disclosure agreement before 2016.

“Rumors that I have received hush money from Donald Trump are completely false. If indeed I did have a relationship with Donald Trump, trust me, you wouldn’t be reading about in the news, you would be reading about it in my book. But the fact of the matter is, these stories are not true.”

“The fact of the matter is that each party to this alleged affair denied its existence in 2006, 2011, 2017 and again in 2018,” she said. “I am not denying this affair because I was paid “hush money” as has been reported in overseas-owned tabloids. I am denying this affair because it never happened.”

Cohen said Tuesday that his counsel has responded to the FEC regarding the complaint.

Daniels commented during her appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live television program that she was unaware of the statement and said, “I do not know where it came from.”
