The Trump Administration’s Department of Defense (DoD) is pushing for a last-minute emergency stay on a federal court order, which would force the military to recruit transgender individuals starting on January 1st of next year.
Trump’s policy states that the transgender individuals would, now, not be allowed to serve in the military. And the Pentagon is carefully studying all its aspects in order to implement this policy in the best way possible, including evaluating the real-world impact of Social Justice infiltration into the combat effectiveness of the military.
The Department of Justice is arguing that the Pentagon cannot accept transgenders, and study their potential impacts at the same time. “Compelling the military to implement a new accessions policy while it is simultaneously completing a comprehensive study of military service by transgender individuals that may soon result in the adoption of different accessions standards would waste significant military resources and sow unnecessary confusion among service members and applicants,” the Justice Department motion had stated.
The leaders from Pentagon are now also studying the details of the issue, whereas the opponents of the President’s policy are of the belief that the administration is hiding the complete truth.
Up till now, two of these federal judges have shown opposition to the policy which has been introduced by President Donald Trump earlier this year to ban transgender individuals from joining and serving in the military.
A 53-page order that came out in November, Judge Marvin Garbis from Maryland claims that transgender service members were “already suffering harmful consequences.” Indeed, injecting yourself with female hormones, and cutting off your balls is a “harmful consequence” of the transgender agenda.
The U.S. District Judge – Colleen Kollar-Kotelly also went forward and issued another of the court’s ruling to block Trump’s policy, and eventually ordered the government to allow these transgender recruits, effective from January 1st, in October.
In July, Trump had announced on his Twitter account that the individuals from the transgender community in U.S. would not be allowed to serve in the military “in any capacity.” He had also said that the military needs to put its complete focus on “decisive and overwhelming victory” without being “burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption” that he believed that the transgender people may cause while serving in the military.
Pentagon officials were also given until March 23rd, 2018, to “address transgender troops already serving openly.”
A 2015 New England Journal of Medicine study had estimated that approximately 12,800 transgender personnel are serving in the U.S. armed forces currently.
In the waning days of the failed Obama Administration, the Pentagon lifted the existing ban on transgenders in the military. Previously, these transgender personnel also operated under a condition that was very similar to ‘don’t ask, don’t tell.’
The 2016 announcement further came along with a provision for the same medical coverage as all of the other members of the armed forces. The coverage further included hormone therapy and “gender reassignment surgery.”
