The Latest Feminist Outrage Could Be In Your Fridge Right Now

Sexist Cheese
Cheese was created by "The Patriarchy", to keep women from becoming programmers at Google... or something?

The animal rights organization, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), has become the subject of harsh criticism, and hearty ridicule after it recently suggested that consuming cheese is “sexist.” The argument stems from the fact that the milk used to make cheese comes from female animals.

In a recent blog post, PETA claimed that cheese is the “most sexist thing you can eat” due to it being a “product of imprisonment, rape, reproductive control, kidnapping, and abuse.”

PETA is well-known for harassing people into adopting a vegan lifestyle. PETA and it’s followers are adept at using social media to criticize and harass private citizens who refuse to adopt that lifestyle, and to support their animal rights agenda.

“Contrary to popular belief, female cows produce milk only when they’re pregnant or nursing. They make milk for the same reason that human women do: to feed their babies. Cows who are imprisoned on dairy farms are forcibly impregnated through artificial insemination again and again on rape racks,” the publication pontificates.

The blog also lists a litany of PETA funded investigations that allege to have uncovered animal cruelty in the dairy industry – PETA’s investigations have been found to be deceptively edited in the past. “farm workers kick, whip, and jab laboring mother cows and others who had just given birth.”

“The mothers are not allowed to nurse their babies. Instead, their infants are stolen from them, usually within hours of birth. Male calves, who are considered worthless to the dairy industry, are often sold for veal. Otherwise, they’re raised to be killed for beef. Females are typically fed a milk replacement and eventually sentenced to the same sad fate as their mothers.”

According to PETA, the dairy farms’ effects on cows are quite drastic, including significantly reduced lifespans and being under the constant “strain of constant pregnancy, birth, and drastically increased lactation.”

At the end of the blog post, PETA issues their all-time favorite call-to-action: Become a vegan.

“Help end violence, reproductive control, and rape of females of animal species who desperately need us to speak up for them. Try delicious plant-based milk, vegan cheese, and dairy-free yogurt,” the post said. “Mothers, and all females, deserve better.”

The blog post and the claims it contained – that eating cheese is sexist – was met with intense criticism online and the animal rights organization was mocked mercilessly across several social media platforms. Many pointed out PETA’s hypocritical stance, and its dark history of slaughtering thousands of animals in supposed “animal shelters” it runs.
