Liberals New Plan To Get Women Excited About Abortion

A new hashtag popped up on Twitter–designed to get women more excited about abortion.

The hashtag, #ShoutYourAbortion, started trending on the social media site on Tuesday. It was, apparently, designed by Planned Parenthood to help fight back against Congress voting to defund the embattled abortion giant.

Planned Parenthood, always controversial, has been in the limelight after ten hidden camera videos appeared, showing the nonprofit was apparently harvesting organs from aborted fetuses and selling them for profit.

Unfortunately for Planned Parenthood, the hashtag quickly backfired.

Rather than being a forum for women to “shout their abortion”–and, apparently, publicly declare how proud they were to abort their unborn child–the hashtag was quickly hijacked by pro-life supporters, who began telling their stories about why they didn’t get an abortion.

On Facebook, a woman named Leah, for instance, posted: “I was 16. She was unexpected. ‪Planned Parenthood‬ offered me an abortion. I was horrified and quickly declined. Her name is Taylor. She is 19 now. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I can’t imagine life without her.”

And another pro-life supporter named Thomas, posted, succinctly, “This. This is why I f***ing hate people… Just because something can be done doesn’t mean it should.”

Over the past few years, pro-choice supporters have veered farther left on abortion. While former President Bill Clinton once said abortion should be “legal, safe, and rare,” today’s liberals don’t have any pretense about wanting to discourage abortion.

Nowadays, they want to be able to wear abortion as a point of pride–encouraging women to “shout” their abortion, even though America remains widely in favor of restrictions on abortion.
