Bernie Sanders Develops Taste For Private Jets

In Bernie's communist society, the elites would surely have access to private jets (as the people starved).

Not content to merely be a “Limousine Liberal,” Senator Bernie Sanders has given himself quite the upgrade. According to federal financial disclosures, Sanders’ campaign had spent nearly $40,000 on luxurious private jet travel over the last three months alone.

Bernie Sanders’ travel has been paid for by his campaign, the Friends of Bernie Sanders, using the private jet services of Apollo Jets of New York – a luxury jet company. Although he is an outspoken global warming alarmists, having said that C02 will cause, “devastating problems,” he has traveled extensively across the nation by C02-belching private jet.

Apollo Jets also offers a number of charter options that range from light jets, which seat at least six to eight passengers, to big jumbo jets, the biggest option for flying privately, which features “varied cabin configuration” that offers a commercial seating for up to 500 people or “the plush business class chairs for 50 or more” people.

Sanders also wrote an op-ed for the Huffington Post in year 2014 that was also cross-posted on his Senate website pushing for a carbon tax.

“The scientific community is clear: Global warming is real and it is caused by human activity. In terms of droughts, heat waves, floods, forest fires, disease, rising sea levels and extreme weather disturbances, global warming is already causing devastating problems,” Sanders had said. “The dirtier the fuel, the more expensive it will be,” he had later wrote.

Sanders said that he introduced the “most comprehensive climate change legislation” which included a tax on the carbon during a Democratic primary debate in April 2016 as he was attacking Hillary Clinton on the topic of fossil fuels.

One day after the debate, Sanders took a Delta 767 chartered flight to Rome, Italy, to address the “immoral and unsustainable” wealth inequality at the Vatican conference, the Daily Mail had reported last year. Fewer than 50 of the individuals were said to be on the plane that could seat between 211 and 261 people.

A private internal memo left at the Los Angeles hotel from Sanders’s presidential campaign last year further shows that the campaign had also pondered asking the Democratic National Committee for a private, fully-staffed plane as part of the negotiations with the Clinton going into the Democratic convention, Buzzfeed had reported.
